is it just me,or is it extremely hard to find a decent backgroud for the tiles.Ive tried a few times to set a background but it always looks s**t,I always set mine to dark background and cyan theme.

Just do a search. I've found hundreds of good background materials. Try things like textured leather, bricks, you can grab all you want off the web

Note: There's no option to resize the tiles on this device (Like there was on the smaller screened 635) so you're stuck with this ratio.

How is it that you can't resize your tiles, you are on Lumia 640? Weird.

Thanks for the tip about Zedge! I just downloaded their app and found some awesome backgrounds. I would love for every app to enable a transparent tile. Is there a way to hack the app icons to make them transparent?
The transparent look of WP makes me a bit nostalgic about my iphone 3G with the Glasklart theme. It had a huge user base on macthemes.net (now dead) that constantly uploaded new transparent icons, so eventually all icons were transparent. This should be a standard feature for apps on Windows Mobile...

lock screen pictures come from accuweather






still working on it. really like Pearcey125 but i don't want to move stuff around that much yet without being able to change back easy if i don't like it. most of my tiles are big to have the live tiles thing because the smaller ones don't have them or show as much info.

I have to agree with the gradient backgrounds. I just wish there was some consistency with the tiles of apps that do not have a transparent live tile, as in they would all reflect your accent color. It would really help with the customization aspect.

Okay, I'll post mine. I've decided to only put up backgrounds and lockscreen pictures that are pictures I have taken using my Lumia 640, so these are all my own photography skills on my 640.

There are a few apps that are able to change the tile transparency, e.g. Transparency Tile or Start Perfect. Just look for the right one in the Store!
