Why is my GPS signal lock on L640 is little slower than L620?

GPS Signal lock on L640 is little slower than L620

Hi friends

I recently upgraded my L620 to L640.
Lumia 640 is a good build, I Love it.
Yesterday I ran into an issue, my L640 is taking more time for GPS signal lock. So I conducted a gps test using my both phones ( 620 & 640) at the same position (outdoor , clear sky).
L640 taking a little more time to lock on signal , but my L620 instantly locked to gps signal. Both tests are conducted with no data connection turned on & offline maps are already in both phones. When mobile data turned on, GPS signal lock on 640 is faster. I tried this test with another 640, both ended up in same results.

Is there any body, who experienced this issue ??

Default (Bing) Map app

How much time are you talking about? Minutes? Seconds?

L640 took Nearly a minute & 40 seconds. But 620 locked on to signal within 10 seconds.

There's definitely should be more observations from owners of either device. (don't have to own both)

Well! In my opinion, 640 is little slower on GPS signal lock( data connection turned off).
Also in situations like while travelling in bus or other vehicles, it still have difficulty to lock on signal.
This was my experience.

Oppsite observation here: 5 seconds lock inside the house! Amazing!

My 730 needs much more time, even minutes.

at least you guts can lock!!! many of us cannot without enabling internet (data/wifi!) ! so you are ALL lucky !...

Lumia 640 xl lte rm-1064, locks in less than 3 seconds inside the house. Noticed the location does not move into view but the circle turns green.

Updating the here apps was the key for me

at least you guts can lock!!! many of us cannot without enabling internet (data/wifi!) ! so you are ALL lucky !...

I think these problems are due to lack of good quality hardware...or may be because of the certain terrain/geographical area.

And Lumia x2x series are better in gps than x3x series.... Correct me if I'm wrong.
