Lumia 650 will not send text msgs to Sprint/Verizon (CDMA) phones.

I can send text messages to ATT and T-Mobile phones but for some reason not to Sprint/Verizon phones. The messaging app says the messages have been sent but friends do not receive them. I can get their text messages.
I have used a new sim card, run all the resets including the WDRT and the latest updates are installed. My carrier says all settings are ok and they have resent the signals to my phone to no avail. I have put the sim card into a lumia 1320 using an adapter (nano to micro) and text messages work fine including those that could not receive the ones I sent with the 650.
Any ideas besides sending the phone in for repair/replacement?

Is it ATT or an ATT mvno by chance?

Is your phone Cricket branded?

Yes it is Cricket branded.

ATT and Cricket seem to have issues with Windows Phones and MMS/SMS on branded phones since the shut down of 2G...
