An opportunity as presented itselt. The Lumia 950 I brought on Christmas eve has died (I dunno, it won't turn on!). Optus in Australia has provided me with a replacement 950, all neatly contained in it's original plastic wrap.

Shall I swap it for an XL?? (if Optus lets me).

Coming from a 920 (4.5" screen), I originally chose the 950 (5.2" screen) because I didn't want to go 'too big' (5.7" screen XL). But after using the 950 for 14 days, I find myself using it more or less like a phablet. So I reckon I might as well get the extra screen real estate of the XL, but I'm still not sure!

Help me decide Lumia fans!

Another reason why I chose the 950 was because of this video by Winbeta: https://youtu.be/4eLLu7ywWlI

I would have preferred a device a similar size to my Lumia 925 which I was replacing. I went into a shop and handled the 950 and 950XL and it seemed like they were both bigger than I really wanted. However, there didn't seem a lot of difference in the overall size to me and the 950 appeared to be bigger than necessary for the usable screen size. I plumped for the XL for this reason, and also the fact that in UK I could get a free display dock (arrived) with the XL but not with the 950. It's a lovely screen, but still a bit too big to sit as comfortably in the pocket as I would like.

If you are heavy user, go for XL, if you have PC/Laptop and like doing stuff there, working, reading, movies, go for 950, because it is nonetheless a beast.
