Has it occurred to anyone why Windows Apps get so few ratings?
I reckon it's because the MS system uses your real name, which will put off lots of people if they have a slightly unusual name.
It's mad though - there's lots of rubbish apps which have only a few low marks.
If I could comment under an unidentifiable username I would.

With aliases or fake names, shills for the developer could post glowing review, shills for their competition can post negative reviews. Microsoft is well aware of this phenomenon as they engaged in similar behavior back in the day.

I do not find the reviews in the app store helpful and am irritated by the need to install and try each one out firsthand.
