Cannot install build 10122 Windows 10

I've attempted the install 4 times now. Freezes at 18%. 65% of file copy complete and it locks up completely. Reboot restores previous build. Anyone have any suggestions?

Personally, I'd recommend staying on Slow ring for now and wait for Microsoft to sort this one out. Otherwise, you'll waste hours trying workarounds.

Thank you. I think your right. Windows Central should do a write-up on this. Apparently its a rampant issue for SP3 users.

I got a reply from Gabe on Twitter.
"We're working on the issue to see if we can identify another workaround."

If Gabe has tweeted it, then there should be a Windows Central story about it soon on the basis that almost everything that Gabe tweets is reportable news...

There is. Check the story board.

Open CMD as Administrator then:-

rundll32.exe pnpclean.dll,RunDLL_PnpClean /DRIVERS /MAXCLEAN​

Then put yourself back in fast ring and check for updates.

Build 10122 should then​ install.​

Shame, sorry to hear that. It worked for me, but then I have done a reset back to 8.1 this week so maybe my system is cleaner.

This did work after I ran disk clean.
