Bought SP3 few days ago, now considering have it laminated. Since the SP1,SP2 have weak coating, I'm afraid that the lamination will destroy SP3's surface. Any advice?
VaporMg is not a coating. It is a process in which they mold the chassis. They actually melt magnesium and then force it into molds and then cool it extremely fast. This allows them to get really thin, yet strong chassis for the devices.
Hi Nick, I experienced the same issue with my Surface Pro 2, but have not had this with my Surface Pro 3. I have used it heavily for about a year and a half, and it still looks the same as when I first bought it. I think you should be fine. EDIT: I have travelled a lot around Australia and England - if it was going to happen, it would have by now. I do recommend a screen protector though.
