BSOD on PRO4 awaking from sleep

Hi,

So I am getting a BSOD almost whenever the PRO4 awakes from sleep.
The error shown is something like precisionTouch.sys

Once it reboots, the touch screen is non-responsive. If I restart the machine, the touch screen remains non-response, but if I shut down the pro 4 and then restart, the touch screen is responsive once again

I seem to have worked around this problem by disabling sleep altogether but this not ideal

Any ideas what this could be down to?

Have you tried reinstalling the drivers for the touch screen?

Solution 6: Reinstall the touchscreen driver

Note

You'll need a keyboard or mouse connected to your Surface, as in*Solution 2.

If disabling and re-enabling your touchscreen driver doesn't work, try this:

Step 1:Select the search box in the taskbar, enter*device manager, and then select*Device Manager*in the results.Step 2:Select the arrow to the left of*Human Interface Devices.Step 3:Right-click*HID-compliant touch screen, and then select*Uninstall.

Note

There may be more than one HID-compliant touch screen listed. If so, complete steps 3-4 for each one.

Step 4:Restart your Surface.*
Your Surface will automatically download and install the touchscreen driver when you connect to the Internet.
