Any idea when the Studio will ship? "Early 2017" is quite vague...

I ordered the Surface Studio in November. A quick chat inquiry at the Microsoft store only yielded "we haven't been told when the product will be released". My main design rig is officially defunct and am having to rely on a not very capable laptop. It'd be nice to known when it'll be here!

My guess is right after it roll out of the production line.

Microsoft did a soft launch with only a few units available.

Obviously, the production is being ramp up.

Someone at the Microsoft Store in Boston said it would show up in the store in March.

Yep, they told me March as well when I preordered in Dec. It arrived today. Their store is, sadly, always wrong. But early is better than late, right?

So: faster than you expect but don't count on anything they tell you.

Currently on MS website, the 2GB GPU models ships by 3/31, the top model ships by 6/30. That is for preordering today. I guess for those that ordered back in Dec, perhaps they will get it before 3/31.

Yes, if you preordered before they change the expected ship date. The ship date will vary depending on demand. If demand exceeds supply, it will no longer be available for preorder.

I pre-ordered the top model in November. The ship date for new orders changed to June at the Microsoft online store sometime in January.

Preordered in Dec for the top SKU model, just got an email from MS that it will ship Feb 9th.
