Dumb question, especially considering how long I've been using Windows for. But where is the setting in Windows RT to disable tap-to-click?

Well being touch screen tap-to-click is the only way to click things.

If your referring to the touch cover, I just went through all the settings and because this is not a laptop there is no trackpad settings list in the control panel but there is a touch cover settings list. However there is nothing that I have seen to change the trackpad on the touch cover.

Sorry yes I meant the trackpad on the keyboard. It doesn't appear to see it as a trackpad in Device Manager, but as a generic mouse, so I guess we're unable to disable tap to click.

Well the mouse settings are there because you can plug in a mouse. Technically the touch cover is in the control panel literally as touch cover. Its an added settings list for the surface I suppose.
