Looks like Surface is going on sale soon at Future Shop and Best Buy in Canada. The websites have it listed, but it is not available for sale.

I was surprised to see 2 Surface tablets on display at Best Buy yesterday,
except, they were password protected by Best Buy!

A lot of people (like myself) were curious to try them but they couldn't go beyond the Login screen.
    WTH

And then they say that these things aren't selling well.. lol

I noticed a display as well at Bestbuy in the Eaton centre. They had those security blocks stuck on the back, mounted on short poles, but I think you were able to pick them up and open the kickstands. There was actually a large group of people playing with them, mostly ignoring the rest of the tablets on display.

Microsoft really should have put together a better retail strategy. The Apple devices area just next to it feels like you're in a mini apple store, and there's constantly 3-5 sales staff around those tables, as oppose to none next to the Windows and Android tablets. That being said, the Surface display is the first thing you seen when you approach this area, and it was stocked with touch and type covers (ended up picking up a touch cover with a few recent gift cards).
