Random shutdown of Surface RT

I have a 64 gb Surface RT. it randomly shuts down. On initial look like it looks like the screen has timed out, however on trying to wake up the device, it is actually restarting. it has happened around 3 times for me in the last couple of weeks. At that time, the keyboard was not connected. Has anyone noticed this?

It's *very* possible that the three restarts were for the three critical updates that got pushed in the last few weeks. Your surface checks for updates automatically, and installs them. If the update requires a reboot, it will do it after 2 days.

If you don't want it to do that, you have to change it to get updates manually (which I don't recommend.)
