How to export pictures from Surface RT

Does anyone know how to export the photos taken from the Surface RT.
I feel like i have tried everything, but i cant even import the pictures into a memory stick. I can just import stuff from the memory stick into my surface... This is really annoying.

I plug in a usb memory stick and it immediately goes to the desktop mode and pulls up explorer with the stick. I can drag and drop pictures from there or copy and paste. Also can share to skydrive or e-mail.

Are you sure the memory stick is good?

Desktop > File Explorer > Computer > Flash drive/Removable Storage

That's the path for accessing your flash drive.
