Is it better than tour 808?
Could you explain how you used lanczos3 algorithm? It's not available forma photoshop, isn't it?
As far as I know lanczos is very similar to what Nokia used on the 808 to oversample, so.. I just use that whenever I am resizing.
I wouldn't say its better or worse than the 808 overall, its just different. I think I like the color reproduction on the 808 better, and the noise levels are lower.. but the 1020 does better in terms of contrast and DR .. but it still has the highlight clipping issue from what I can see.
1020 seems sharper as well, if the lens is aligned properly..

No softness toward the edges
Just remember that the 808 photos in there are from the auto setting, which defaults to 85% jpeg processing vs. 95% on the 1020
The color reproduction on the 1020 will appeal to more people tho.. which was the main point.
Overall.. this is really good and it has tons of potential for some good photography. In a year from.. there will be so many amazing shots you wouldn't believe it
