Anybody else have camera shake on their 1020?

I've noticed that with most pictures I take the screen shows the scene shaking pretty badly. Small shakes...like the OIS has a malfunction of some sort. Many of my auto shots are coming out fuzzy...no need for me to link to one...it's noticeably fuzzy.

Assuming I drew the short straw and the shake isn't just on my screen, but also in the images. FYI no shake on any other apps/screens - just when taking photos.

Hmm, well, the Lumia 1020's OIS is mechanical, perhaps you managed to grab a defective model? If that's the case, I worry about usage of the phone in the long run, will the motors wear out with time?

FWIW here is a video I just took. I figured (correctly) the shake would show in video as well as camera mode. Interestingly I think that the OIS works if I'm moving the camera (minor panning/etc), but when I'm holding it still the thing is messed up.

You should take it back immediately, that is definitely defective and not normal. Thanks for sharing..thought you might have just been sensitive ;)

I think people need to remember that the idea of OIS is more to erase minimal movement to take better longer exposure pictures. Not to go shaking the phone and expect the OIS to balance it.
That said it would be interesting to see comparison between Lumia 1020 and 920 OIS. Lumia 1020 seems to have much more complicated system, but how it differs to Lumia 920.

just not as well as Nokia was alluding too in their presentations.
Yes, there were some OIS Fake-Videos at the Lumia 920 Presentation, but I think there was not a single OIS-Presentation Video for the 1020, or?
But I would also like to see a Test between the 920-OIS and the 1020-OIS.

You'll have to wait til I get home and get something rigged up. I haven't sold my 920 yet and may be able to test something. It may be tomorrow evening, unless someone beats me to it. :D

That is messed up, curiously enough I remember a review test video of the 1020 from one tech site (can't recall which one, might have been pocketnow) that had a somewhat similar issue, but less pronounced.

I just did a side by side and the results were just about equivalent. Held the phones up to one another and recorded. Probably not worth the effort to watch, but if you'd like I'd recommend opening in two discrete browsers and getting them sync'd up. Sorry I didn't trim it to get everything sync'd ahead of time.

The Lights in your Room seems to be "warmer" on the 1020 than on the 920. Which is more realistic?
Btw. do you already get a new 1020 or is this video from your broken 1020?

Was taken with the new/fixed 1020. No issues whatsoever. Regarding the temp, curiously I'd put the 920 as too cool and the 1020 as too warm. Reality is somewhere in the middle. I think the lighting in the soffit and the LED tv were giving both problems.
