Only Portrait for status updates?

Just left my 900 for the 1020. Can only seem to update my social media status in portrait orientation, which I hate. I am a landscape typist. Is there a setting I can change? Or am I stuck this way?

Never thought much about it, I think it is locked to portrait . No way to change that

Well that is just silly. I can respond to Facebook posts in landscape, but cannot create one in landscape. Mostly I think this bugs me because I could do it with WP 7.8, I don't understand why someone felt the need to change it.
