Storage sense reports 6.06GB used for system. Problem?

My lumia 1520 storage sense says "System 6.06GB". I mean, come on.. 16GB storage phone, 6GB is for the system already. any of you guys having the same thing? :S

Cheer up, 6.86 here and my maps say 3.65 and I don't have any maps installed... I deleted them a few days ago. :shocked:

The question is, is that normal? I am curious why.. For now, I have nothing in my phone, I moved almost everything to my SD card. Could a hard reset fix this?

I never done hard reset. I do not know what could happen. it might sound silly, but I would hate to lose all my saved games that I am playing right now. lol.. I read that the backup is only saving the apps, not the file content related to the apps.. idk..

I suspect some of the stuff that used to show up in Other now shows up in System via Storage Sense. Stuff like photo/video Onedrive sync which supposedly can take up a noticeable amount of space. Do you do quite a bit of that?

My "system" memory is at 8.28gb... and my phone is only a 16gb HTC 8x... this cant be normal.

I think my situation may be to do with failed app installations. I.e. apps that were not completely installed but their files are still on the phone. I'm thinking of doing a hard reset tomorrow and will update you.

:shocked: OUCH!!! I have a 32GB 1520, and I thought 6.86GB was bad, I can imagine the loss of an extra 2GB on the storage of only 16GB...

WP 8 or 8.1? Hard reset means you have to set everything back up (factory reset)? I wonder how quickly your 3.73GB will increase again? Would be a shame to go through all that trouble just to have the system memory go back up in a week!

BTW, my WP 8.1 system memory is at 4.14GB on my 16GB 1520.
