Broken digitizer - Again!!

My wife's phone fell off the desk today and the digitizer broke. A few months back she had it in her coat pocket and the display broke. At that time, nokia India did not have the parts and was told to wait for 4 weeks for parts. I traded it for a new 520.
Now am confused. My 525 fell off the same desk in the same way and nothing happened. The back cover fell off and the battery flew off. But not a scratch. Is the 520 inherently damage prone?
Should I replace the digitizer only or should I exchange for a 620/720/920?
Please advice.

I'm sorry to hear the 520 broke again. I would suggest putting it in a case. I'm not usually one who is prone to dropping my devices, but I always use cases (either Otterbox or Casemate) just in the event that dropping might happen.

I've dropped my 520 several times from tables, out of my pocket, off the couch, etc. and nothing has happened. Maybe you just have bad luck. ;)

The phone was in a bubble case. I bought the case as soon as I replaced the broken display. Perhaps Nokia phones are no longer built like they used to be. Now my 525 has a broken volume rocker. Am very tempted to change brands.
