I ported my number to straight talk, I got everything up and going, and was getting picture messages just fine, but I couldn't use the internet. Now, the internet works, but I'm not getting picture messages to work. Anyone who uses straight talk know anything? I've been all over looking, I just did a chat with a rep, who was extremely rude, and pretty much acted like I know NOTHING about my phone. I kept being told to turn on "auto retrieve" in my settings, but I didn't see it, and the rep got extremely rude about it. I took some screen shots of what I have in case someone knows something about this.

From Straight Talks website -
APN Settings
FIELD SETTINGS
NAME - STRAIGHT_TALK
APN - tfdata
MMSC - http://mms-tf.net
MMS PROXY - mms3.tracfone.com
MMS PORT- 80
MMS_APN - tfdata

What I have currently.

Someone save me! =( Any help would be fantastic, thank you.

I'd love to help, but SMS and MMS settings aren't my area of expertise...

I would say contact the carrier, but you obviously tried, and they weren't of much help.

I remember one time I screwed up the settings on my Lumia 900, long ago. I wasn't sure what they were supposed to be, so I just searched for proper AT&T settings. It wasn't easy, but I did eventually find the proper settings. I'd recommend trying the same with Straight Talk, and seeing if you can find anything online about the proper APN settings.

EDIT: Never mind, I see you got stuff straight from the website and already put it in. Hmm, I really wish I could help, but again, APN settings aren't up my alley. Are there any nearby stores you could seek out for assistance?

I'm a straight talk user...

The only thing in my internet APN is tfdata in the APN field.

My MMS APN is the same as yours except I have no user name.

I get internet, and can send and receive MMS.

Hope this helps,

Dave

Net10 user here.
I have a 520 locked to ATT network. Did not use the nokia "Settings/access point" app, which when viewed says ATT is active.

Use "Settings/Cellular" and edit the internet APN:
APN: tfdata
all other fields blank
edit the mms APN:
APN: tfdata
WAP gateway (URL): 66.209.11.33
WAP gateway port: 80
MMSC (URL): http://mms-tf.net/
MMSC port: 80
all other fields blank

There is a handy chart on this website towards the bottom of the page for other settings if these don't work.

WPCentral is an invaluable resource. Keep up the good work.
