Cracking sound when fast forwarding video

Hi,

I'm facing a problem with playing videos ever since I've updated my L520 to Cyan and wp8.1

My phone makes a cracking sound when I fast forward a video. It's going to make that cracking sound no matter where I put the slider.

Is anyone having this problem? Any suggestion?

Same here. Though I don't own a 520 anymore, I had this issue after updating to Windows Phone 8.1

Okay this phenomena is universal afaik with updated windows phone. Audio burst after each song ends and fastforwarding and rewinding crackles have to do with the Os itself

I have the same issue it's definitely a windows 8.1 issue since it does not occur in windows 8. I am curious to know if it only affects us 520 users.

Exactly the same issue after updating to 8.1 .
There is a short burst sound when fast forwarding streaming video on Internet even when the Media+Apps volume is completely at 0 .
Seems like a new bug but doesn't affect me much !!

I've Lumia 720 and I face the same problem. I think all windows phone 8.1 devices have this problem.

I also had this bug when I watched videos in my Lumia 920 (WP8.1). The problem is now over after the latest update of Xbox video.

(If I am not mistaken there was an article here about correcting this bug in one of the latest updates of Xbox video app.)

I'm experiencing it aswell. It's occurred for me since getting WP 8.1. Never happened on Amber.

I've installed Moliplayer Pro. The cracking sound still persists. The Cyan update has messed up the audio somehow to produce this horrible sound.

Is there anyway to inform MS about this, if they're not informed already?

I had the issue when updating my 1520 to WP 8.1 DP but after the Cyan update yesterday, the issue is resolved.. No more glitching sound when fast fording videos and playing music..

The cracking sound still persists. I don't see MS giving it any importance. They're busy with other things. But I've found vlc beta plays videos with no cracking sound. It's my new favorite video player for WP although it's still in beta. A lot of thanks to the developer of vlc beta, Nigro.

You were curious to know about it right?? Your answer is yes. After 3 years I thought of checking all of my old phones and when I updated my nokia lumia 620, the same happened. This is a issue of all wp 8.1 users.
