Why has my nokia lumia 520 gone dead

randomly my nokia lumia 520 died. the screen went black and unresponsive. it wont charge or respond when i try to switch it on or do a hard reset. I tried everything suggested taking battery out charging it with or without battery just a black screen with no response.

Have you tried removing the battery?
