can 3g imobile internet be used in place of wifi in nokia lumia 520?

i am unable to connect to wifi. but my mobile 3g internet is there . i want rto be able to download software update with the 3g internet kindly help

do you mean you wish to download apps for your phone? If so, just switch on 3G internet and go to store to download the apps. Each app has its size so be aware of how much of your data bundle could be used in downloading apps for your phone

If you meant downloading software updates for a different device, you can use your 3G connection and use your phone to create a wifi hotspot which your other device can then use
