At my local WalMart they have a sign hanging up for both locations of there 521s that says to see associate. I asked and was told that they are all locked up to stop thievery. They have a huge prepaid section and only the 521 is on lockdown. Compliment?

That's interesting. It sounds like only the 521 is a "hot" item for thieves if none of the other prepaid devices are locked.

The Walmart stores here have the box on the display shelf but they are empty. And say please ask for assistance in purchasing this item.

Anyways I would think that Walmart would have the IEMI Numbers and Serial Numbers in case they did get stolen they could flag them and block them from being used has a phone. Not sure if they could not totally lock the phone down.
