Problems with display staying on after downloading Windows 10

I have a Nokia Lumia 521 phone and after I was forced to download Windows 10 I have had nothing but problems with the phone. Does anyone know how to keep the display on longer as every 60 seconds the display goes black, I have to press the button on the side of the phone, re-enter my password for the phone to come back on and then 60 seconds later the same exact thing happens. Any assistance or help with this would be greatly appreciated. Regards and thank you.

I don't have windows 10. Do you mean that traditional "Settings" -> "Lock screen" -> "Screen times out after" = never setting not present in Windows 10 or it doesn't work there?
Also, just curious, who could force you to download w10 ?

It sounds like you are using lock screen password set for every minute. Check your settings to see if you can change timeout or temporarily stop the password to adjust your settings.
