No. You don't need it.
Just be careful, because in Store there are some "weird" apps that ask for more permissions than needed. For example, let say we have flashlight and it need permission for GPS, microfon... it might be better to not download it.

Windows phone is immune to virus at the moment. No virus can successfully attack a windows phone and hence u don't need a separate antivirus. So stay away from any apps that claim to be antivirus since they are fakes.

Just because an app asks for permission to use parts of your hardware, it doesn't mean that it actually does.

The app can easily be
1) Badly written and use API libraries that it doesn't need to
2) Badly categorised by the app developer.

Better advice would probably be to simply avoid sub-standard looking apps. Stick with known/official apps or those highlighted by this awesome website.

It does not have any virus as the system is closed source.It does have some really minor bugs.Enjoy your 635

Yes, sure it can be just developer's fault and the app is harmless. But I believe that it's better to avoid this kind of apps, you never know what is going on "behind the scenes".

Some apps do send data but its mentioned and most of them ask you for permission

Sure they do. But the problem is in those apps, that don't ask for permission and just ask when installing app, but I don't know many people reading that stuff. They just click "yes, install".
But I suppose that we agree that apps on windows phone are not (yet) as dangerous as on Android, which is much more open OS than WP.

Closed source is about intellectual property protection. It has nothing to do with attacks on systems.

It's like saying your auto can not run diesel fuel because the radio is AM only.
