Problems finding my location

I'm using an unlocked Lumia 710 on Fido in Toronto. I've found that the phone often has problems determining my location. In Bing Maps and Nokia Maps it's usually pretty good, but many apps (Foursquare, 4th & Mayor, Poynt, etc.) either place me far away from where I actually am or they're unable to find my location.

Is this a problem with the apps, WP7, the Lumia 710 or Fido? Could it be because the phone is unlocked?

I have this issue both on 3G and wifi.

I'm not sure what's causing the problem, but I am sure it's not because it is an unlocked phone.

You could try grabbing an app like GPSInfo and see how the data it receives looks.

Thanks. I'll check out GPSInfo and see what it says.

EDIT: It seems to be correct. Hmmmm...

I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that my region setting is US (so I can use Local Scout & Bing Vision.)
