Connect Lumia 710 to internet via pc?

I got a new Lumia 710 yesterday and connected it to my PC to update it without inserting any sim. There was an update available. Still plugged in and updated, I launched Internet Explorer in Lumia 710 and to my astonishment, it has shared my pc internet just like good ol' windows mobile days. The internet was just working fine in my Lumia 710 until I installed another update, this time from Nokia. After installing this update, internet sharing from pc via USB cable has stopped working. I searched online but to no avail. Any help guys?
I haven't got wifi at my place, so it was the only unlimited internet (via USB) for my 710.

Well, this should not happen. My OS version is 7.10.8773.98 and I can still use internet on mobile browser via usb. Check the firewall on ur PC.
