What have I actually updated to?

Ok, so I downloaded and installed Nokia software updater for retail, and it instantly found and installed a new firmware version onto my 720 - the things is, what actually is it? Is it GDR2? If so, well, what ever it is, it's running extremely smooth, although I have noticed, apart from data sense, and some nice graph thingy showing volumes of data storage, it doesn't seem that much different than before - or perhaps I haven't looked hard and long enough!

Here's the firmware version: 3046.0000.1334.0003

You need to update all system apps to get all features of amber.

You have glance screen, FM Radio, Lots of bug fixes under the hood for example an error used to happened a lot with 720 in which case the phone randomly used to press the all three capacitive button and finally end up in the Bing screen for no valid reason is now totally gone. Etc. Btw Amber is a optimization update rather a feature rich update.

Thanks for that, though no-one has told me what update it is. Is it GDR2? Anyway - I have looked and I can't see no 'Glance' screen or FM radio! Any ideas?

Yes it is GDR2 with Nokia Amber update. Please look under the setting section you will find glance right above the bottom. As for the FM radio you will find under the Xbox music.
