Nokia is releasing six devices on Oct 22 (at least that's what the rumors say). Who knows? We maybe in for a surprise ;)

Even if an updated 720 may not be released in this event, be sure that there will be a successor to it. 520, 620 and 720 rule the WP market share.

Expected devices:

Lumia 1520: RM-940
Lumia 2520: RX-114, RM-114
Lumia 929: RM-927
Dual-Sim Lumia: RM-997 (Maybe Lumia 720 variant)
Asha 500:
Asha 502 / 503: RM-922/ 920

And recently Nokia Glee i.e. Lumia 525 has been rumored. Its a music centric phone, kind of like XpressMusic. But that makes it a list of 7 devices. Don't know which one will be left out.

Hoping the RM-997 to be the 720 variant. Wouldn't matter if its a dual sim phone. Will buy it in a jiffy if it will have 1GB RAM.

But that said it makes me wonder coz I actually haven't seen any dual sim windows phone.

There were reports that Nokia is working on the first dual sim windows phone. So we can assume that the leaked info is almost correct. Yet to be seen how the device turns out to be.

20 days to go.

if lumia 725 will have 960x520 resolution in a 5" display, it may have 25 more ppi than his predecessor or 243 ppi than 217 ppi of lumia 720, that make little bit sharper. i base the computation on lumia 620 & 625. And sorry for my english:)

960x520 is a mighty odd and unique res to use (at least in WP land), can't see it happening from my point of view.
Would it even meet MS's requirements?

why don't you buy 820 then
if you need play more game with requirement 1GB RAM just buy 820 or 920.
you'll just get lag when playing game in dualcore 1GHz CPU and 1GB RAM. 1GHz CPU won't enough to handle high-end game.

If they were to produce a Lumia 725 then all they would need to add IMO is an AMOLED screen to the device and it would be one of the best midrange phones out there.

Would have gone for the 820. But the uni-body 720 was too hard to resist. At the time of purchase the 920 was out of my budget. The 720 hits all sweet spots. Really happy with the phone. But its all so common to crib about even the best of things.

Why is that mighty? Well i agree having that res was odd for a 480p video, but, for that kind of resolution is pretty good thing than for what they did in nokia 625. With a increased screen size, res and faster processor it seems like they increasing gaming capabilities?.

Same with me too. It was way outta my budget, by atleast 20k. Lol, so I bought a 720 and a month and a half later, 920 drops to 24k. Convinving my dad to buy 920 so I can give my 720 to him and take his 920. Lol! 1020 is way too high outta budget.

720 is awesome, but the camera quality after amber is just killing me.

Its only 5 days away. So I'd suggest wait for the Nokia event. If the Lumia 725 is not unveiled, go ahead with the 720. For all we know, a better phone than the 720 maybe released in the same price bracket.
