My Nokia Lumia 720 has been frozen for over 12 hours, how can I fix it?

My Nokia Lumia 720 has been frozen for over 12 hours

I have tried the hard/soft reboot method and nothing, it will not switch off and i have also tried the volume+power+camera button reset method and still nothing. When I connect it to the laptop it shows and i can access my things but that is all

You're lucky that you can still access all of your "things" in your phone. My advise would be to do just that - copy all of them into your PC in preparation for either a full factory reset or a consultation/repair in a service center.
