So, I'm talking to my cousin about the new Nokia Windows Phone devices (he has an 800 which he loves), and we get talking about prices.

My cousin expects it to be ?500 (same as 920 he says), because the RAM + processor are the same, and both have support for wireless charging (I tried the "You need to buy a case from Nokia for the 820" argument but he said the hardware was in the phone to support it already).

But me, I'm thinking they'll price it around ?350 due to lack of PureView, Gorilla Glass (in this case, they've got for scratch resistant screen minus the branding), etc. I responded to the same specs argument by pointing out 710 vs 800 case. Same specs (minus camera), hugely different price points.

So, what do you think the 820 will retail for, and why?

Also, as a side-note, we didn't argue the 920 price point (even though I think it's worth ?2.5k I do believe it is more reasonable to expect a ?500 price point) as we were pretty much in agreement about it.

Not familiar with the pricing in your region, but you can guarantee the 820 pricing will be dramatically lower than the 920 precisely for the reasons you described. I'm expecting the same to be true here state-side.

Guessing in USA either $49 or $99 for a 2 year contract,

$399, or $499 for No Contract but could be Higher $559, but, I doubt it will be less than $300 No Contract (that will be for 720 etc).

I am hoping for $49 / 2yr Contract / $399 No Contract Pricing that would be a great deal and would sell alot..
