Lock screen problems with calls??!?!

In the past 24 hours my phone has been acting weird when im making and getting calls. When talking the entire screen just goes completely blank and won't let me do anything while im on the phone. Usually you can do just about anything like txt, internet, or even basic things like put it on speaker phone? Now my phone wont do anything of those things and i can't even hang up....or use my phone until the person im talking to does.

Just really frustrated and I'm wondering if anyone has had these problems and knows how to fix it? Don't feel like running to verizon and having to deal with their bull**** today.

Make sure you do not have anything blocking the proximity sensor on the phone. If it's blocked by a case etc it will think it's up to your ear and black the screen.

i had a case but took it off because i thought it was messing it up...i also have a decal...so maybe i should just get rid of all of it? you dont happen to know where he proximity sensor is by any chance?

Most likely due to a dusty proximity sensor, at / near the front facing camera.
Have an air pump or something to blow into the headphone jack will clear it.
