8 megapixel camera only shares 1 megapixel photo

If I understand correctly the 822 has an 8 megapixel camera. When I share a photo it is less than 1 megapixel. What am I doing wrong?

After further research--is the following correct?

1) Skydrive app from the marketplace uploads the original but only through wifi not cellular network.
2) native camera upload reduces resolution
3) can upload to flickr and facebook at full resolution -- I have not tested this but read this using Google search.

Anyone know of any other options? Also, is it possible to change the resolution in which you take a photo using the camera settings? (Example -- How would you take a 2 MP photo versus an 8 MP? -- Is there an app that will allow this?)

Basically yes, that's all correct. The camera will always take the picture at the max available resolution.
