TBH 830 is already overpriced and there shouldn't have been such a big difference between the 830 and 730 prices in the first place... Besides if this is really a cheaper 830 then it would possibly lose the OIS and metal ring and if that is the case then I don't see why anyone would want to buy this over a 730.
And in a few months time 830 will definitely drop its price big time so it will be interesting to see how this phone will be priced without being too close to 730.

I totally agree with you! Here in my country, Lumia 735 costs 175 $, while 830 used to cost 499 $, now 396 $. Lumia 735 is clearly amazing value for the money 😊

I'm hoping for a couple of things here:

1. A price of $300-350 max (off-contract).

2. An HSPA 1700 version for use in Latin America and WIND Mobile in Canada.

0.9MP front facing camera?

Sounds unlikely to me. I'd have thought that with the newer budget phones having 5MP 'selfie' cameras, MSFT would carry on with that trend.

I don't know. The article said it's "a cheaper alternative" to the 830 so for all we know it could be like a 730 with different compromises, e.g. bigger screen, better rear camera but worse ffc
