So I'm looking at my AT&T data usage for the last month and I'm getting these huge(5-7MB) Internet Data Sent events when the phone was almost always on WiFi. I know I'm not sending huge email attachments, so what the **** could this be? A virus?

Occasionally smartphones will send huge packets of data back to the carrier. Usually the data doesn't affect your monthly allowance. That could be what you're seeing. You might be able to call ATT to make sure.

Remember that the Wi-Fi connection goes into standby mode when the phone isn't active, so anything you have pushing/pulling data on a schedule (email, etc.) will use your data connection during those periods. That is most likely what you are seeing.

I just put data on WiFi only, so we'll see what happens next month.
