No One Can Understand Me

I have an issue where most people I call cannot understand me. It doesn't happen all the time, but for the most part it does. I originally thought that my microphone was clogged with dirt, but since sometimes it isn't an issue, I'm thinking that dirt isn't the culprit. My wife usually hangs up on me in frustration saying I sound like the adults from Charlie Brown. Also, when I talk to people on speaker phone, it isn't an issue. Has anyone else had this problem? Should I just take it in to AT&T and try and get a warranty replacement? Thanks.

What you described could happen to any phone, basic or smart. Get a warranty replacement from AT&T.

I have been told this a lot too. Like I sound muffled or not talking into the phone. I too, only get this sometimes. When I talk perfectly into the mic, no one complains, but when I get a little bit off the problem reoccurs.

I think this is a software issue more than anything. The phone is trying to cut out background noise and is blocking more than intended. It was supposed to be fixed in the last update, but no luck so far.

What did I learn? Proper phone form!
