Lumia 900 movie: only first few secs have audio

I am trying to edit movies shot on my Lumia 900 in Sony Vegas..
When I import the movies, only the first 1.5 secs have audio.. The rest is muted..
The whole movie plays fine in Windows Movie Player..
I also notice movies shot on my old Samsung Focus import fine, the audio
stays active the whole time..

I'd rather not convert the movies to some othe format just to edit them..

When you say it plays fine using WMP, does that mean the audio plays fine too?

Also, does the audio play fine when watching the original video on the 900?
