Does the Lumia 920 have an onscreen SW click picture button?

Or are you forced to use the dedicated hardware camera button every time? HW buttons are fine in certain situations, but the SW button takes pics much faster. I hope you have option for both on the 920. Also is this behavior uniform across all Windows Phone 8 devices or is each handset different?

Yes Windows phone has the ability take pictures by tapping on the screen, it wil then focus on the area you tapped at and take a picture, this is on all phones with WP7/8

The new feature in wp8 though is that you can start video recording with a tap. On wp7, it requires the camera button.

Agreed. In WP7.5, still pictures can be taken by tapping the screen (when the option is turned on), but video recording starts/ends with the physical camera button-press.
