When I try to use Lumia 920 mail the pictures taken by itself, i found the size of the received picture is just 1632X918, while i check the same pictures saved in skydrive and picture in the phone, all these picture are in the full-size resolution, e.g., 3520X2000. I check the setting for email, don't find any option about option about size of attached pictures. Does anybody meet same question and how to solve it. Thanks

I've noticed this also. Hope someone knows the answer or we get an update to fix this. Seems like an obvious gap compared to the iPhone.

Is this true? Did you try sending it using an external app or the in-built share by email option?

This is exactly why I wish MS would allow a third party email app, among other things. In situations like this, we are forced to wait for MS to decide they want to change and add this feature.

If we had third party email apps, this option would be available in at least one if them, judging from other email apps I've used on other platforms. Along with other features we will probably never see with our WP's

I think so far there 3 ways of getting the full resolutions photos.

01) Plug into your PC and just drag and drop. (Windows)
02) Windows Phone Camera Roll Sync App. This syncs your camera roll to sky drive in Hi Res.(Windows and Mac)
03) Import using the Windows Phone Tool for Mac. Unfortunately this only imports in Iphoto which itself is annoying.(Mac)

Just upload to Skydrive in full resolution and send a link to it. Some people don't like receiving large images in their inbox because it makes their local inbox bloated. Links are better. They can download from there.

Noticed this when I picked up my new Lumia 920 today. So far the only way I've found is plugging in and taking off and uploading to skydrive and then on skydrive you can right click and view original.

Actually, when uploaded to Skydrive in 3552x2000...is not 8,7 megapixels but 7,1 megapixels. I want my full resolution, please! How do I get that?

You can't.

First of all , welcome to WPcentral.
My dear friend , the camera is 8.7 , that .7 is being used to create pictures that look good on both 16:9 and 4:3 aspect ratios , other cameras kill 4:3 pictures (popular for shooting tall buildings.)
This camera instead gives you a perfect 8mp 4:3 picture and a 7.1mp 16:9 picture.
Iphone 5 by default uses 4:3 ratio .
Lumia 920 uses 19:6 by default

If the iphone 5 wanted to shoot a 16:9 picture it has to delete lots of data of its 4:3 ratio picture .

This why the sensor is 8.7 to allow that easy conversion
here's a picture to easy your mind ...

and here's a 16:9 ratio picture by the Lumia 920 http://sdrv.ms/Ureo1O

and here's a 4:3 ratio picture by the same phone . http://sdrv.ms/VmtgPK
I hope you got the idea ...
Cheers . :)
