I just bought a Nokia about an hour ago at a cellular store up on Devon Ave. The phone was totally new with plastic and everything. The guy wouldn't open the plastic to put my tmobile sim in from my iphone 4 unless I bought the phone. I just purchased figuring if my tmobile sim didn't work I could easily sell the phone on Ebay. After purchase he put my sim in and everything worked perfectly.

The box says Nokia 920.1 and I live in the refarmed area so I get 3G signal and the data is fast.

    Enclosed a few pics

Let me know if you guys have any questions...

I don't get it. The phone doesn't seem to be AT&T branded, meaning this is an international unlocked phone or Rogers unlocked. Don't those two come with T-Mobile bands out of the box?

I finally got text and mms working after playing with phone settings for a while.

I paid $700 for a white 920 at Popular Electronics on Devon Ave in Chicago.

You bought the international version lumia 920. You need to go to settings, access point and you will see options there to select your operator and the add button to add mms and apn settings.

$700 is a pretty good price for the unlocked international version - the lowest I can find is $750. Congrats, good to know that the unlocked version works on T-Mobile! :)

Also, I checked their website and they have the unlocked version for $800, so you got a very nice deal.

After a bit of time with the phone it might not be my cup of tea. I'm too used to the iPhone iOS, and am considering selling my unlocked Nokia 920. I will decide in the next day or two.
