Charge the L920 faster

I got my standard wall charger with an Output power =5v/1Ah and takes the phone to fully charge from zero a little more than 2hrs.. I think the Lumia deserves a more powerful charger given its large battery..

So I went to the Nokia store and checked the wireless charges thinking they might be at least pushing the same power.. Surprise surprise it's only rated at 5v/.75Ah

PC USB pushes about .5Ah so that's slow too..

Question is: is there any other charger that pushes more than 1Ah??

Is it safe to use iPad wall charger? (5v/2.1Ah)

Problem with iPad wall charger is the cable. Regular USB 2.0 cable is rated at 500 mA max. "Charge only" USB cable is 1.0 mA (I think).

Are you using a charger from a Lumia 900? I am, which is 1 amp.

My co-workers that have the retail 920 all have 1.3 amp chargers. So you should be able to find that I'd think. But I agree, the charging is slow, though there is debate that it may be better for the life of the battery.

You know, two hours to fully charge a phone is still really good. But hey! I come from the days of owning the original Motorola Flip phone where it took 12 hours to charge the SOB.

If you van find an HP Touchpad charger, they are 2 Amp. They were on sale a couple months back on HP.com for 5$, so I bought 10 of them.

Yes, HP Touchpad charger is a lot quicker. Very cheap.

I thought that really quick charging reduces battery life.
