Not sure if anyone else noticed this, but over the past couple of days I kept my lockscreen static (i.e. no background updates), and noticed my battery pull me through 15-17 hours easily. This is in contrast to the 10-11 hours I'd get (at best) with Astronomy and (on other occasions) Bloomberg lockscreen updates running in the background. Not a real test by any means, just an observation.
