I don't think my case is normal.

Here is the story.

I bought Lumia 920 in Thailand, but it didn't conneted to 4G at all in my country, Korea(Korean Telecom uses 1800Mhz LTE).

Some people said that Thailand didn't support 4G, so Nokia might block 4G ability of its phone.

So, I flashed Hong Kong rom on it because I heard Hong Kong used the same LTE band to Korean Telecom's.

After flashing, I've got 4G signal on topbar fortunately.

But the weird thing is that there's still no 4G option on 'highest connection speed'. Only 2G or 3G.

What I want to know is ;

1) whether my phone is on 4G or not in this situation,

and 2) whether the 'hightest connection speed' option actually limits the mobile network speed or not.

To answer question 2, yes, I believe it does. I can confirm this is the case on the HTC TITAN, because my carrier only supports 3G (it roams to access the 2G network). So, when I force it into highest speed E (2.5G), it then goes No service for several seconds then eventually starts roaming (onto Orange). When I flick back to 3G, it goes out of service for several seconds again then usually hits back onto my home network (Three).
