My friend tried to hard reset his 920 and got the infamous spinning gears. So he's using the Nokia software to fix it and he said the new version is in the software (ATT_US...PR1_1_V3_RED). Is anyone else seeing this? I'm at work and can't check right now.

Nokia says the update will come sooner than we expect.... That's a lie, cause I expect it every time I check for the update :)

My friend downloaded and installed, it's restoring everything, but he said that it's stuck at 97%.

Hoping for some Nokia goodies but I haven't found any yet. Not even some fancy camera settings to go with that new camera firmware.

So does the camera take better photos now / sharper in daylight?

I can't really tell because it's a bit of a rainy day here, but the depth of field is definitely better.
    I took some sample pictures:

Depth of field cannot change. The camera has a fixed aperture, thus you can not make any changes to the depth of field.

I am looking at the picture with the ginger cat and maybe it is just me, but I think it is really detailed, if you zoo, in at his fur... I think it would be less detailed but again, until we have a side by side comparison we will not have a clear difference...

Interesting software there. Just downloaded it, but haven't read anything on how to use it. Have you used this personally to download new firmware to install locally vs OTA?

I think I'll wait for it to come out through the official channels though. :)

Guess I meant does a better job of focusing; it's been too long since I was in production class...
