They have the option to select postpone or install the update immediately to their device. If the customer selects to "postpone" installation of the update, the notification pops up again in two days. The notification cannot be postponed permanently. Customers can also check the availability of the update from the Start screen by scrolling down to and tapping Settings > Phone Update > Check for Update. All customers will be notified of the update by January 7, 2013.
What are you trying to say?

Can anyone who got the update tell me if a setting was added to turn on feedback on capacitive buttons?
Do you mean turn off feedback?

He means vibration and at this point, I think there is no way unless we can access to the Diagnostic app or access to system like custom roms.

article says 9AM PST that makes it 12 in the east.
i'd start checking then. be aware that it may take
a bit before it hits all 920s and 820s. be patient.
    it'll get to you.

We don't know if this update does/fix anything...

Yet we all want to install it.
We do know it has fixes for the camera softness problem. That's enough for me.

In addition it has SMS changes for call reject and drafts.

This thread reminds me of the problems we all had as young high school boys have with premature evacuation.

With apple's iOS you can always download it a bit early as you could do a complete restore from the cloud. I'm not sure I trust the WP8 flash and restore process as much so I'll wait for OTA. I just don't want to wait until January 7th to get the camera fixed.

What are you talking about? Didn't you read this site they talk about Portico in fairly great detail and the Camera update to fix the softness from the Lumia 920.

From Nokia Support for those who don't believe this is finalized....

    • More efficient Messaging, allowing you to save draft messages, edit forwarded multimedia messages, select multiple recipients at once, and respond to a call with a text message
    • Improved performance, audio quality, and connection stability for Bluetooth
    • Improved battery level metering
    • Improved stability, speed, and functionality for the camera
    • Can now better control data costs: you can prevent automatic fallback from a Wi-Fi network to a mobile data network and keep Wi-Fi always on to off-load network usage to Wi-Fi
    • Performance and stability improvements
