Updating music collection

OK.. I put 100 albums on my phone.... And I assumed they all had album art on the tagged but 23 albums didn't. I updated the files in Media PLayer on Windows 8, now I want to sync the files and have it update the files on my phone. But I cannot figure out how. I can remove the files and add them back, but trying to prevent that. It seems that the sync only adds or removes music... Doesn't sync one version of the file over the other.

If all the albums were synced by wmp earlier then it'll update only the new or modified files.

Ok... how do I do that. When I connect my phone back to computer it doesn't automatically start checking the files on my phone against the files on my computer. How do I make it verify the contents on my phone against my library?
