My wife's 920 will not play YouTube videos at all.
We have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, but no dice.
    Anyone else running into this?
(I did a search but came up empty)

That might be because of Google... Try MetroTube or www.m.youtube.com.

I watch youtube videos often on my 920. I do have to load the webpage as the full version and not the mobile version.

set your browser to mobile version and clear cache to make sure you have the "good" yt mobile site (with set to desktop it has a different design and can't play videos).
to access the desktop version click on top left settings icon and then on the bottom at desktop or use the following url: m.youtube.com/?nomobile=1
