    What i want to do is to edit (trim some videos, have transitions and remove background audio with a music). The s/w should be easy to use and should have very less impact on quality, may be lossless editing.

    The cheap, easy option is Movie Maker

    There are also some free online solutions for video editing. You should Bing for it :)

    Movie Maker, as mentioned above, is a great - free - option that allows you to do simple editing. It integrates well with Windows 7/8 as well.
