Is there a way to keep the top bar from disappearing?

i didn't realize at one point that my Wifi was not activated and was leeching off my cell data instead. Plus since i'm on ATT, I really need to see how many bars i'm getting when I make calls. Is there a setting that i'm just not seeing?

There are a few apps on the store that you can download which will give you your wifi status. If you pin them as your top tile, then you will almost always know. Not ideal, but works well.

Thanks. That will work if i had space for it. It took me a week to get the right amount of apps and placement on the top half of my screen.

This frustrates me also. I just got a 920 and I am very curious as to how it rolls , and really want to see what's going on. I only seem to see the wifi symbol and the cell connection intermittently, and I want to see it all the time! I will have a look for an app in the store, but it would be great if all the status icons could be made to stay visible, not just the battery one.
