I'm currently on Portico (1249) and I checked to see if there was any updates just now - 11:45am PST (GMT -8). Turns out there is an update available but I'm not sure if I want to update it given that 1308 was problematic and I am on AT&T. Any fellow BUILD owners want to take the leap of faith?

Update:

Upgraded. No big issues so far. Again I got the French (Canadian) Keyboard installed like it was with Portico. 1308 was released to AT&T on 3/27 and it seems to be rolling out for more people almost a month later. Hopefully this means Nokia/MS are getting more comfortable with releases.

Was prompted to update my Microsoft //BUILD 2012 developer Lumia 920 today. This phone is listed as: RM-820_nam_canada_246. I'm on the AT&T LTE network in the Tampa Bay, Florida Region.

Firmware was:
1232.5951.1249.1001

After update:
1232.5957.1308.0001

Everything appears to have gone smoothly. I am now using the new Storage Check applet in Settings to recover storage.

It lists 5.4GB of temporary space used. After pressing the "Clear" button, I have 1GB of temporary space used. Woo!

I was concerned that I would have to reconfigure Internet Sharing, but I did not have to.

I'm wondering if this tweet had anything to do with getting this update.

At least they updated the Build 920 to 1308 in a decent time, I guess its good comparing with the way Nokia handle Portico update for this device, it was just stupid.

This Developer Edition Lumia 920 should get the new updates before anyone else for both its "developer" nature and the clean/vanilla firmware that comes with it.

My 3-branded Lumia 920 just got the update in Sweden without me doing a manual search. :) Took like 5-7 minutes of looking at spinning cogwheels but it went smooth.

I'm hoping that the initial delay in getting Portico out was due to growing pains with MS and Nokia on figuring out how to QA and safely deploy OTA updates. 1308 came out about a month after it was initially released for AT&T which is way better than the 3-4 months it took for Portico. I hope that the time to release 1308 could have been cut down if they didn't have to release 1314 and divert resources to that.
